Print 1-018 - Jumping Icebergs

Images around Pond Inlet, NU. As the icy waters melt in early July and start to break up, these locals are spotted using a flat bottom boat to navigate the ice cold waters. They would mostly try to travel in the boat, but when stopped by ice, they would climb out of the boat and walk, while sliding the boat across the top. I also spotted them using the boat as a bridge when the breaks in the ice were too far to jump. I will always remember witnessing this moment. Print P1-018
